Gay romance video games are rare and are greatly appreciated within the realm of video games. Although some gamers have claimed that having gay characters isn’t essential or beneficial but it’s a fact that games featuring LGBT characters can help raise awareness about the LGBT community and foster tolerance. These games permit players to create an image that is more realistic, and also gives the player an experience they wouldn’t be able to have when they were young.

Games with gay romance

Many games have featured bisexuals, gay, lesbians or transgender romances. Some of these games are highly well-respected. One of the first was the Jade Empire by BioWare, with a wide range of gay romance options. While Dawn Star was only attracted to males, Sky and Silk Fox could be paired with any gender, which was a big move for a Chinese fantasy game in the early days of. Other games that had gay romances include the eroge Maji De Watashi Ni Ki Shinasai which has two homosexual couples as well as the Bully series, in which players can smooch with any girl in order to get health.

Games with lgbt romance

Dragon Age also included same-sex romance. The 90’s Squaresoft SNES platformer Playboy The Mansion features a character named Heff and can be flirty with and start relationships with any NPC within the game. It’s not significant in the context a modern, reimagined title, but in the context of an SNES game at that time it was revolutionary. The same is true for the cult classic Neon Genesis Evangelion game, where Kaworu can be wooed by both genders. In the same way, Seven Sins is a game that focuses on being a playboy who seduces women, does have a few encounters with men too.
